Introducing Booby Cushions
Who we are...
Booby Cushions was founded in 2019 by Susan Rivett, to support women facing a breast cancer diagnosis and surgery.

Initially the cushions were made with the support of the Department of Corrections in South Auckland and the fabrics were gifted from local textiles companies, which assisted Booby Cushions to operate as a non-profit organisation. During this time, we were proud to supply cushions throughout New Zealand, Australia and even the UK.
Sadly, after the global pandemic, the support from Corrections was no longer available. However, Booby Cushions successfully sourced an alternative way to continue production. Whilst no longer officially a non-profit organisation, we keep costs to a minimum and most fabrics are still gifted.

About Susan
Susan is a 7 year breast cancer survivor and it is through her own experience that she discovered how one little heart-shaped cushion can do such an amazing job at supporting post-surgery healing. Hence, Booby Cushions was born of Susan's desire to share the power of this little heart!
Susan was born in Scotland and emigrated to New Zealand with her Kiwi husband and two children in 2016. She worked in London for 25+ years as an Interior Designer and was involved in some incredible projects for private high-net-worth clients, throughout London, Europe, Middle East and USA.
She has always loved working with beautiful textiles and thrives on being able to use her skillset to offer a collection of practical and beautiful gifts that your loved one will want to use and wear as they navigate through their diagnosis and treatment.

TVNZ1 Nomination for a "Good Sort"
Our initiative gained traction when Susan was nominated, in September 2019, as a Good Sort on TVNZ One News.
